Dr Dubplate and the UK’s underground dance music scene run synonymously. Be it selling out shows nationwide with his close-knit crew, or breaking down barriers for the next generation with his label ec2a, the Dr is at the heart of it all.
Over the past couple of years, he’s become the spearhead for the homegrown scene, single handedly cultivating a cult-like community in a quest to represent the underrepresented. As the next generation of tastemaker, he leads the graft – touring as a DJ, whilst running a successful label business, elevating largely undiscovered talent – with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
